Dear GAP Forum,
The Software Sustainability Institute (http://www.software.ac.uk/)
had recently initiated the petition to show that software is
fundamental to research: research software should be treated as
part of the research infrastructure, and if the fundamental role
that software plays in research would be overlooked, then an
ability to conduct research will be jeopardised. Some more
