Ukrainian GAP User Group created !!!

Dear Colleagues,

I have just returned from Uzhgorod, Ukraine, where the International
Conference on Algebra was hold on August 27-29 as the
satellite conference of Ukrainian Mathematical Congress.

Viktor Bovdi and me have announced there that Ukrainian GAP User Group
was just founded. Its e-mail address is gap@gap.zssm.zp.ua

The Group is aimed to continue GAP advocacy in Ukraine, provide
support to local GAP users, and also be a form of exchange of
scientific and GAP-related information.

In the nearest future Group WWW-site will be located at the address
http://www.zsu.zp.ua/UkrGAP/

This site will contain Russian-language interface to GAP mirror at
Zaporozhye State University, the list of Group members, GAP-related
materials, and also mailing list.

Of course, I remember the recent discussion regarding Japanese local
"Forum". From the other side, just Russian language of local forum and
availability of Russian language information could attract more new
GAP users. To prevent our local colleagues from separation from the
main stream of the GAP development, I will strongly recommend to
subscribe GAP-Forum to all members of our Group, and also I am going
to forward all important information from GAP-Forum to this local
mailing list.
