Dear Gap Forum
Alexander B. Konovalov asked about converting dvi files to ps or pdf
files

One way to convert *.dvi files to *.ps files is as follows:
Download and install "miktex" from http://www.miktex.org/.
Then one can use the DVI Viewer to convert dvi to ps, or
in DOS prompt run the following command (if your filename is s.dvi)
dvips s.dvi -o s.ps

Another way, which may be better, but one must pay money, is
to use Acrobat Writer utility, and install a (virtual) postscript
printer.
Then using this printer one can make PDF file from any printable file.

Subject: something to DVI converter ?

Dear Forum members,

I am sorry for a kind of off-topic, but I hope that somebody could
help me. In this case I would like to ask you to reply to my e-mail
algebra@hotmail.zp.ua directly to avoid overloading the forum.

I need a program (or several ones for different file formats) which
allows to produce DVI files directly from one or several of the
popular formats like, for example, PDF, PS, DOC, RTF etc.

Does somebody know such programs? Which formats they could handle?
Whether they are working under Linux or Windows ? How can I obtain
them?

Sincerely yours,
Alexander B. Konovalov
