^ Subject: Macintosh binaries for fix 3

Dear Gap-Forum,

(This is only of relevance to Macintosh users.)

Due to an error of mine the Macintosh binaries we provided for yesterdays
fix #3 for GAP4B5 included code which was not intended to go there and which
will cause problems.

Burkhard H"ofling (who maintains the Macintosh version and knows much
more about these complicated machines than I do) was so kind to compile new
binaries immediately.

If you got already the new Fix 3 binary yesterday or today (the archive
which contains the 68k and PPC version) you must get new, corrected
binaries. They are now in separate archives for 68k or PPC (so you can be
sure you got the right new file), which you can find as usual at:

http://www-gap.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~gap/Info4/bugfixes.html
or
ftp://ftp-gap.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/pub/gap/gap4/bugfixes/

Mirrors may take a day or so to pick up the corrected versions.

Apologies for the problem, stemming from my ignorance with all things
non-Unix,

Alexander Hulpke
