^ Subject: BUG: problems on HP9000

Dear Mrs. and Mr. Forum,

there is a problem with GAP running on HP9000, which was discussed in
"gap-trouble". I will give a brief summary of this discussion.

If you start GAP with output redirection on HP9000 you *might* get an
error message, saying "gap: panic 'SyGetmem' detected corrupted heap!".
This error message is caused by a malloc from inside the C-library, we
will include a work around for this in the next patch level.

best wishes
Frank
